Farmer’s Market Sign
I don’t know why I don’t stencil very often, because I have a tote full of stencils and shelves full of paint. Who knows….BUT I did stencil this cute FARMER’S MARKET sign for my kitchen and it turned out really cute!!
These are the supplies I used:
- Farmer’s Market stencil
- A piece of burlap
- Painter’s tape
- Piece of cardboard
- Black acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Hot glue gun and glue stick
- Wood frame
I started by laying the stencil on top of the burlap and taping it with painters tape to hold it in place like this right here.
I laid a piece of cardboard underneath the burlap so it would catch any paint bleeding through the burlap. Then, I just started stenciling away! I actually really like painting on the burlap and would probably prefer that over any other fabric. I LOVE burlap projects!
I let this dry for just a little bit before I took the stencil off. Once it was dry, I got glued it to the backside of an old wooden frame.
Somehow I missed getting a pic of that process, but I did get one of the finished product!
See how cute??? This is something you can keep up all year around and you can move it to different areas in you kitchen to change things up. If you’re like me, you are constantly rearranging!
Super quick, super easy, and super cheap! That’s the kind of projects I like to throw together!
