Decorating a Staircase Landing for Fall
I always struggle with decorating my staircase landing. Probably because I’m too cheap to go buy what I really need to put in that spot…HA! One day I will find the perfect little bench, but right now I just have to get creative with my wood crates.
I knew I really wanted to decorate this area this fall and was trying to do it on a budget. I always get these visions and try to decorate that particular area as close to my vision without spending a lot of money. You can see how bare it is right here and I just don’t like bare.
I only had a few things that I could use from home, so I had to make a quick trip to Hobby Lobby. I found this floral and these pumpkins.
I bought these pumpkins for $5.99 each at Ross and found this cute fall sign at the Target Dollar Spot. I love the mustard yellow!
Now listen, I am NOT good with floral arrangements, and I do not have a green thumb, but this thing turned out really cute. I mean I really surprised myself with this one. And that cute white box being used as the vase, is an antique lunch box and is one of my favorite things to use in my house when I’m decorating.
After I finished that, I added some wood crates to my landing and started to decorate them with that fall sign from the Target Dollar Spot, some pumpkins, and a few other little things.
Now that the crates were done, I added the floral arrangement, a pumpkin, and that cute little sign (from Hobby Lobby for less than $2) to the top of the crates.
It took me forever to decide what I wanted to put beside the crates, but I knew I needed something there. So, the large crock for the win! I added a blanket, some wood beads, some pumpkins, and a little wheat.
