Antique Amber and Neutral Fall Decor

I love when the season changes from summer to fall. It’s literally my favorite time of year and I always look forward to pulling out the darker neutrals for my home decor. Most of the time I lean towards the neutrals anyway, because I feel that it’s cozier and more relaxing. This year, I wanted to use antique amber bottles. Amber bottles are the perfect fall, but I also want to use them for my Christmas/winter decor this year, so this will be an easy transition.

After searching a couple local antique stores, I only found a few bottles and that was just not enough. SO…I sent my personal shoppers (my mom and my aunt) on a mission to find me more and let me tell you, they HIT THE JACKPOT! Unfortunately, I only took a picture of what my mom found and forgot to take a picture of what my aunt found, but you will see what she found as you scroll down to look at the rest of the pictures.

Ya’ll just go ahead and take a look at all this amber my mama found.

It’s exactly what I was looking for. Now remember, I’m a neutral girl and I LOOVVEE whites and wood!! Especially for fall. So, I used these amber bottles mainly as my pop of color. They really pop against the white I have in my house. My hutch has become one of my favorite pieces of furniture to decorate since I gave him a little Makeover and painted him white. Let me show you how good some of this amber looks in my hutch.

Yes, I know!! The amber bottles, the white dishes, and the wood! Can you see why I like neutrals? It relaxes me just thinking about it!

You know what else I love??? CROCKS!! And honestly, I don’t even care if they are antiques or not, as long as they look old. I decorate with my crocks all year, but I love decorating with them most during the fall. I used one on my Fall Hutch last year too.

I also did a little pilfering……

Listen, if you have family who has a bunch of stuff and they want to give it away, then you gotta go through it. You never know what you will find.

Between the things my mom and aunt picked up for me, the things I pilfered, and the things I already had at home, I had enough to make my hutch look the way I had envisioned.

Now I can light a fall scented candle, grab a cup of coffee in one of my many coffee mugs, and cover up with a fall blanket and enjoy all the fall vibes.
