Easy, Do It Yourself,Wood Napkin Holder
I bought these cute napkins MONTHS ago at our local Tuesday Morning. How appropriate to have in the bathroom when you live in a house with teenagers?? No way could I leave these on the shelf!
Y’all know I don’t like to spend much money on any one item and if I can make it myself, then that’s just what’s gonna happen! I have napkin holders, but didn’t have any that would fit these rectangle napkins. So, this is what I found in my craft room that I thought would work.
This wooden rectangle plaque was the perfect size. I’m pretty sure I got it from Hobby Lobby, but it’s been forever ago so I’m not real sure, but you can find these at any craft store for just a couple dollars. It came with a sawtooth hanger, but I just removed that. I filled in the holes with a little glue and sanded it down a little bit and then got started.
Waverly Antique wax is my FAVORITE!! I have used it for so many diy’s instead of using stain. A little goes a really long way so this bottle has lasted me forever, AND you can get this at Walmart! You can apply it using a rag, a sponge, or a paint brush. It doesn’t smell and is really easy to clean up!
I wanted to add some little feet to this napkin holder (kinda like a Pedestal) The wood pieces I used were in a bag of assorted shapes from Hobby Lobby. I don’t remember how much they were, but they definitely weren’t expensive.
I stained these and hot glued them to the plaque just like this.
SO simple and quick!! Now if my children will just READ this napkin and change that toilet paper roll!!
