Spring Coffee Bar
It may or may not be normal to decorate for spring when it’s 30 degrees and icy outside, but I was SO READY!!
Aunt Vicky hit the jackpot last year at her local Marshall’s on their Easter and Spring decor.
They had shut down due to COVID, and when they reopened, all the Easter and Spring decor was on clearance. I wished I had a picture of all the good deals so y’all could see all the goodies she found. This woman shops on a serious budget and ALWAYS finds the BEST deals!
So I wanted to show y’all how I created my SPRING COFFEE BAR! If you guys follow me on Facebook and/or Instagram, you’ve already seen my coffee bar, and you know how much I LOVE to decorate it! I have also mentioned before that I don’t do a whole lot of color. I like pops of color mixed in with neutrals. This year I decided to go with a blueish-green for my color. I like to use black and white Buffalo check (yes, I’m one of those that was a little late hopping on that trend 😉), any wooden items that are stained dark, and burlap along with galvanized metal. And of course, since it’s spring AND Easter decor, I had to add some orange carrots!
So I always start with the top shelf and work my way down. I’m always trying to add different heights for dimension like I did here.
I also try to group items in an odd number. Usually 3 or 5, but sometimes I may need a couple fillers, so I just play around with it til I get the look I’m wanting.
That cute galvanized egg was one of those clearance items from Marshall’s! 😉
I arranged 3 of my mason jars in different areas to add that pop of color throughout my shelf. The ticking stripe bunny is one that I made. That was SUPER EASY! It was a wood bunny that I think came from a local craft store for about $2.00 or $3.00. I traced it on some fabric and cut it out, mod podged it to the wood bunny, made a bow and added a piece of cotton for his tail. You can’t see it really well, but behind the bunny is a candle stick, and I used my old cheese grater as a vase.
After I got the ends of the shelf the way I wanted them and placed my mason jars where I wanted those, I was ready to fill in the center of the shelf. I laid the carrots down and then added those small frames and the H. Now the shelf was finished and I was ready to work on my tiered tray.
Okay. If y’all enjoy decorating and you don’t have a tiered tray, you need one!! This one came from Hobby Lobby a few years ago and I love it! The size is perfect for my coffee bar. I don’t usually add too many things to my tray, because I don’t like the tray cluttered. I knew I wanted to add a bunny, a shelf sitter, some kind of floral, and a pop of color. That’s just what I did!
This is the top shelf. I love eucalyptus and almost always use that on my tray. I made the bunny the same way I did the ticking stripe bunny and added the vase for a pop of color.
For the bottom shelf I added a shelf sitter, coffee, and put those cute carrots in my creamer dish. Y’all, those carrots I got at the Dollar Tree! One pack of 5 or 6 (I can’t exactly remember) for just $1.00!
Once my tray was finished, I added my coffee mugs.
These mugs are my FAVORITE! I have put them on my coffee bar for the past 3 years. I don’t even use them, they just stay there through Easter and Spring for decoration.
I ALWAYS add a coffee mug to my Keurig. I like to have a pop of color there too.
This was also one of those great deals from Marshall’s!! I love this coffee cup too! I like to use that straw placemat under my Keurig and I usually keep a burlap runner there just because it’s neutral. My sugar dish and spoon holder are a necessity for my coffee bar! This time I just set them right in the middle. I added salt to my milk jar and added a couple strands of burlap around the top of the jar.
It was almost complete! The only thing left was adding something to the two shelves. My daughter found this cute wire basket for me at Ross for only $3.99! It fit perfectly on the top shelf. I added a couple sprigs of fake green leaves, another blue mason jar for a little color, and a small shelf sitter.
The last thing I did, was to add my wood box to the bottom shelf and hung my hand towels beside my mugs. I’m so happy with the way it turned out! This may be my favorite coffee bar so far!
