Patriotic Christmas Tree

In February of 2020, my oldest nephew joined the Marines. Due to COVID, we had not seen him since he left. We couldn’t WAIT til December 18th, because that was the day he would get to come home.

My mom wanted to do a little something special in honor of his first year as a Marine, so she decided she wanted to decorate a Patriotic Christmas Tree. So, with help from my sister and myself, we put together this CUTE tree!! Mom decided she liked it so much, that she may even keep it up!

Now let me tell y’all, we didn’t buy ANYTHING extra for this tree! One thing I have seen other bloggers do, is to use signs as Christmas ornaments. They really fill a tree, especially if you have a small inexpensive tree that isn’t very full, and that’s what we had.

We already had some red glass ornaments, a couple blue ornaments, 2 wood star garlands, a star for the tree topper, a few wood block signs, small American flags, and lots of ribbon to create some bows. We used burlap as the tree skirt and my mom added a few things around the bottom of the tree.

We LOVED how this tree turned out!!! It looked perfect on my moms deck and it was exactly what she wanted!
