5 Suggestions Before Booking Your First Cruise

Have you ever wanted to go on a cruise but you’re just not sure what’s holding you back? Could be the fear. Could be anxiety. Could be the money. Whatever it is, you just have to let it go and TRY IT!

I was kinda like that. I’ve always wanted to see the pretty blue water and white sand, but never was really sure if I wanted to go on a cruise. And honestly, if it wasn’t for my cousin talking us into it, we probably wouldn’t have gone and I would still be missing out.

So I have a few suggestions for you before booking your first time cruise. I hope these will help you out!

1) Talk to your family and friends who have cruised before. That is what we did. We cruised with my cousin and her husband who have been on many cruises as well as different cruise lines and they were able to tell us everything a cruise ship had to offer and what we were missing out on.

2) Watch some videos on YouTube or Tiktok. I watched as many as I could find on the ship we were going to cruise on. If you check out all the different cruise lines, you can find one that suits you best. We went for the one with the best deal, but you want to make sure the cruise line is one that will be best for you and your traveling buddies.

3) I would HIGHLY recommend trying a 3 or 4 night cruise for your first. We went on a 4 night cruise and even though I didn’t feel is was long enough, I’m glad that’s what we chose first. That way if it isn’t your cup of tea, then you’re only on it for a few days.

4) Get online and do some research to see what’s out there and where you might want to go. If you see something you’re interested in you can book it on your own or go through a travel agent. I personally would recommend having some help your first time booking. My cousin walked us through the steps and that was a huge help! The cruise line that we used had awesome costumer service too and answered some questions I had after booking.

And last…….JUST BOOK IT!! You never know til you try it! We booked, we went, we survived, and we had so much fun!! And just look at the view we had!
